    • The Indian Railways is planning to induct about 40,000 coaches by 2023.
    • Railways also expect to manufacture 15,000 new coaches with modern features during 2018 -19 and 2022 -23 periods.
    • The work plan started of 1000 coaches in the current financial year the number will increase to 3000 in the next fiscal and 5,500 coaches in subsequent years.

    • On 18 December 2014, the General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming, with effect from 2015, 13 June as International Albinism Awareness Day.
    • Albinism is a genetic condition resulting in little or no pigmentation in the hair, skin, and eyes.
    • The United Nations Human Rights Council adopted a resolution in 2013 calling for the prevention of attacks and discrimination against persons with albinism.

Konkan Railway has planned to expand with News 21 Stations

Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd (KRCL) has planned to develop on its route with 21 new stations of the 147-km double stretch of the track. 147 km of the railway track is doubled under modernization and expansion project of Rs. 3,000 crore on the Konkan route.
